Premises

The Lauterpacht Centre is situated to the west of the city centre, close to the Faculty of Law and University Library in two adjoining Victorian houses at nos 5 and 7 Cranmer Road.

The Centre has its own conference facilities and library, office and meeting spaces as well as accommodation for use by visitors.

As part of the University of Cambridge, the Centre also benefits from the university’s extensive network of resources and electronic research tools.

Libraries

The Centre has its own libraries - the Old Library and the Finley Library at 5 Cranmer Road. They include unique collections of pleadings and other documents from international litigation of interest to scholars and practitioners alike. The collection is supplemented by regular donations of books.

The Centre's collection is included on the on-line Cambridge University Libraries Catalogue System.

Visitors are provided with access to the University Library and Squire Law Library, which maintain one of the largest legal collections (both printed and electronic) in the UK.

External researchers and members of the public may visit the Centre's libraries by prior approval and appointment.

Access to the Centre's spacious gardens and the convenience of being located close to the city centre ensures that visitors have an enjoyable stay.
